Pros: classy well made watch boxCons: as a collector, you know what buying a new empty box means...incomings!Well made watch box with a magnetic closure and sturdy watch pillows. It can accomodate larger dive watches due to the its depth.This is my first watch box. One thing I really liked right off the bat, was opening and closing the lid. Magnets help keep the lid secure and closed off from dust. They would craftsmanship is high-quality. The glass engraving is sharp and clear. Happy with productSuper great quality and came very quickly after I placed the order. I reached out to the seller and he was really quick to respond and very helpful. The box is very sturdy and nice, made of wood and the glass face creates a display case feel for nice watches. The monogrammed is lasered on so it will definitely last. All around a great piece for a gift or for personal use.I wanted to leave a review of this Case Elegance watch box since this is actually my second watch box of the same model. Over the years, with changes in my interest on watch models, my watch boxes had also changed. I used to own very cheap boxes from ‘your know where’ to expensive models from Wolf (they still make some of the best, but pricey boxes).Some time back, when I was in need of another spacious watch box, I decided to purchase the case elegance watch box. Then recently when I wanted to get another watch box, I decided to purchase from another brand due to certain drawbacks of the case elegance box (explained below), and had regretted it ever since. I ended up buying another box from case elegance to fix that mistake.Reasons to buy the case elegance box:1. Well finished2. Good quality control (both the boxes I own are well finished, and came well packed during shipment)3. Good display window - does not obstruct the view4. Pillows can accommodate watches of a wide range of wrist sizes (this is important)5. Slots are large enough to accommodate large size watches easily. I don’t worry at all that my dress watches might touch each other and get scratched.6. Slots are also deep enough that the ‘wall separation’ enables most watches to sit deep. Even my dive watches are seated comfortably.Reasons to not buy the case elegance box:1. The finishing on the wood is so thick that the wood grains cannot be seen. So much so that from a distance the box looks to be made of plastic or fiber. (Reason one for me to purchase box of another brand - see attached pic for the beautiful grains on that one)2. I wish the box came with a quadrant hinge. If you are wondering what a quadrant hinge is, please check the attached picture of the other box or just google it. Without a quadrant hinge, the lid does not have that extra support to remain open and I sometimes worry that the lid will close on its own at the lightest touch. The box lid does wobble a bit more due to the lack of support(Reason 2 to get the other brand box)3. The slots are extra roomy and may not be the best for smaller watches or ladies watches.As can be seen, the cons I mentioned were addressed by the other brand box I purchased. It also looks and feels well finished. However, there are a few let downs on the other box:1. The cushions, though much nicer to the touch, does not have any flexibility. I have sized my watches for 6.75 inch wrist- and I can’t properly fit it around the cushion of the second box - this was a major let down.2. Even though the exterior dimensions are not that different, interior is not as well used optimized in this second brand. If you check the attached pictures, my G-Shocks can reside side by side on the case elegance box without any issue, in the other one not so much.3. The glass surface area is not as good as the case elegance box. So, it is not as nice to look through without opening the lid.So, overall, if you are looking for a very well finished watch box with deep slots to accommodate all size watches, with cushions flexible enough to allow a wide range of bracelet sizes, while giving a nice presentation view due to the big glass screen, this is the box to get. It is very well worth the price.Looks classic. I love the box.Simple in design but excellent watch case. I was gifted one and immediately bought another.Good quality, nice and elegant. Engraved was very nicely done.A Father's Day gift that is beautifully made, and well prepped for shipment. So why did the manufacturer pack a damaged product? It is frustrating to know that the manufacturer packaged this product chipped thinking that we wouldn't notice and blame shipping but that isn't the case. And I paid additional money to have it customized with my husbands' name on it. If possible go to a local store to gift these type of gifts.The watch box is a disappointment.The good part is that the colours, sizing of the pillows and its depth are great for storing watches with all kinds of straps - be in NATO, leather, steel or nylon. Dark or light dials, small (33 mm) to large (43 mm), all look good to the point I ordered another one.However, I had to return both of them. I had noticed that my wrist started to itch and swell when I touched the box from the outside. Also, when I rubbed my forearm very gently against the outside of the box, within 5 - 15 minutes, I had a strong and itchy allergic reaction that looked like burned skin.Also, the boxes had quite a strong smell of glue or paint. I have tried leaving them open outside for several days, keeping them in a ventilated room for a couple more days, and took out all the pillows, but while the smell got less obnoxious, the skin reaction was still there.I am not sure if I was allergic to the pillows as well. I had decided to return it because I did not want my leather straps to give me a rash as well.For completeness, I also checked with other people, but no one had any allergic reaction after touching the box.This is a great watch case! I tried about six or seven before settling on this ... so much so, I just bought another!The case itself is extremely sturdy and very well constructed (Its very heavy, a good thing!); with large wide spaces which will easily accommodate 50 mm watches. The watch pouches are of a high quality, as is the lining and the hinge mechanism ... and yes it is a real glass lid. The magnetic closure system is perhaps a little week, but it does work and the lid itself is so well constructed it’s heavy enough to stay closed without any problems. In all then, I was more than happy with the £39 (each) I paid for these 2 boxes, and I thoroughly recommend them to anyone out there looking for a high quality box at a great price. In fact I think this is probably the best priced/quality ratio watch box available on Amazon today, so buy in complete confidence. Finally for those that care about such things, the packaging was also superb. The watchcase comes well boxed and well protected, so should reach you in perfect condition. You also get a 2 yr wty, which you activate with a mobile to also receive a 15% discount.Brilliant!I bought the 6 slot version of this a few months ago but have been avidly collecting watches since so I needed a bigger box. As the 6 slot box was excellent it was a no brainer to go up a size to the 12 slot. The box is identical to the 6 slot just double the about of slots of course. The slots are big enough to take most large watches. The biggest I have is a G shock Gravity Master and its so big that it rests on the dividers between the slots but it actually isn't really noticeable and there's still plenty of 'head' room. I've got some big Bulovas and Citizens and they still sit nicely in the slots. I think they have made the cushions a little bit softer/more flexible too. I will no doubt be getting another one of these when the collection expands further. The price is excellent value for money, the box looks like it should cost a lot more.The box is ok but the design leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly its NOT a glass lid but cheap plastic that easily scratches. My nain complaint is the terrible design of the watch pad inserts. They are too short! Wiyh at least 10mm gap to the box at top and bottom and the watches kust slide all over. Im so disappointed and frustrated at this and dont know if to return as it ruins the whole designGreat watch box to buy for yourself or as a gift to someone.Took me a while to see which watch box on Amazon was good to buy.Came across this one and bought it.Opened it up and it was perfect.I have a galaxy watch active that's a quite small smartwatch so it doesn't move on the cushion pillow I put the strap on and it barely moves.A must buy, if you want one for yourself or buying for a gift for someone.UPDATED REVIEW WITH PICTURES
