Recently purchased this here on amazon. Took about a week to arrive, but I live far from the place it was shipped from, so that was fine. Came in two large boxes, well packed and cared for throughout their journey. Unwrapped them, all the parts were there, and it went together in about an hour. I have lots of experience putting furniture together from various places, so if you don't have experience with it, or with following pictogram instructions (think Legos or Ikea) then it might take you a bit longer.So far the bed seems sturdy. It doesn't require a box spring, but the slats that came with it seemed a little bendy, so I cut the bigger of the two boxes it came in to fit the dimensions of the bed and laid that down over the slats to spread out the weight distribution. Down the line I think I may get a sheet of plywood and put that down instead just to feel safe about it and it's durability. With my particular mattress, even with sheets, you can still see down the sides of it down to where the slats would be. It's about a 1 inch gap between the side of the frame and the mattress. So the cardboard I have down now shows, and the wood will to when I get it. So I'm considering a stain on the wood first so that it blends in with the espresso finish of the side boards.The bed itself sits 5 inches above my carpet, which means only boxes or storage containers with a height of less than 5 inches are going to fit. Take that into consideration if you love under bed storage.With my mattress on it, it comes about half way up the headboard, with no pillows. So only about 14 inches of headboard shows from the mattress up. Some of the pictures made it seem like there would be more headboard showing, but it's not the case. I don't mind, but if you were expecting a towering headboard, you'll not be getting it with this bed.Overall, I love it and my experience with it. I'll follow up over time with durability and noise once I get more use out of it.
