Great machine, we have had ours for about 1 year and have only had to replace some gaskets in brew head. I advise you look up where your closest Official Nuovo Simonelli repair shop is located for reference. Ours was repaired and maintained fir less that $100 and they say you need to replace those brew head gaskets about every 6 months with daily use. This is our first espresso machine, it’s a bit annoying to dial in the shots and the flavor of the espresso is on a spectrum based on grind size, etc.Be sure to back flush this machine regularly.If you don’t want to play with dialing it in, a super automatic machine would be better for you. For us, we enjoy the craft of it and the authentic experience. We are drinking cappuccinos like we are in Italy again.Some have complained about the pressure not producing good extraction and they add a PID. We like the flavor well. But be sure you spend the $$$ and get yourself a good grinder to go with it. The grinder is more important than machine to get even grind and good extraction.The milk steamer is great on this machine, we steam almond milk and oat milk perfect and foamy.Overall we love our Oscar ❤️ Best decision for us and goes from steaming to pulling shots fast between. I’m a mom of 2 with little time and can make myself coffee on this machine no problem.
